Ms. Anja Maria Tekombo was born in Würzburg, where she studied social work at the Würzburg University of Applied Sciences with a focus on "social management". After her studies, she worked in various youth welfare organizations with children and young people. In Mannheim, Ludwigshafen for the Catholic parish of Ludwigshafen and most recently in Engen in the diakonia. She has further training as a relaxation trainer. Ms. Tekombo was interested in the African continent and its various, diverse cultures from an early age. During her studies she met her husband, Dr. Gnipieven Tekombo when she wrote her diploma thesis on "Acculturation of Africans in Würzburg and their well-being". So she flew to Cameroon, her husband's home country, for the first time and lived there for three months. Since then it has been important to her to help the people of Cameroon and to make her contribution to this. Gnipieven Tekombo and they have been married since 2015. They have three daughters together. She supports her husband in setting up the foundation, as long as she has three children. She also does yoga, enjoys being in nature and loves music, especially African music.
